American actor Clifton James who played the character of Sheriff J W Pepper in the James Bond films "Live And Let Die" and "The Man With The Golden Gun" passed away in his home in Gladstone Oregon due to diabetes. James was 96 years of age.
His daughter Lynn James reported the tragic news of her father's death on Saturday.
Despite playing tough guy characters in the movies, James was really a nice guy to be around according to his daughter.
James will be also remembered for his role in the late Paul Newton movie "Cool Hand Luke".
