A person who has nothing, and so has nothing to lose can be a very dangerous person.
Think of those ISIS terrorists.
They are willing to lose their lives in order to kill more people. When a person is willing to lose his life, there is nothing else that he cannot afford to lose.
A job is not important. A house has no value. His family and friends are not holding him back too.
Similarly, a country that has nothing to lose is very dangerous.
Think North Korea. Except for trade with China, it has practically no link to any other country.
It has nothing and it has nothing to lose, except for nuclear weapon.

China is in a difficult position.
Telling them not to use nuclear weapon now does not mean China can stop them from developing more powerful ones.
No country can stop them from developing nuclear weapon, not even China can do that.
If US starts to bomb North Korea first, then North Korea will call on China to defend it.
China does have a defense treaty with North Korea.
This treaty is valid till 2021.

Many terrorists do not find meaning in life.
Those from Middle East probably lost their family and friends to war, and they really have nothing to live for.
Those in developed countries probably get discouraged in life, and after losing a job, or their house or family, they have nothing to live for too.
It is sad, but then not everyone will feel like this.
Many have the courage to start all over again, and make a success of life.

China is the biggest importer to import coal from North Korea but it seems we stopped to import it since February this year. North Korea seemed to launch a missile yesterday but it failed. I don't know what USA will deal with it if North Korea keeps on it.

@scheng1 After the Xi and Trump's meeting, it seems that they have a closer relationship. It is hard to believe that Trump changes so fast. Now USA and Russia are not so friendly. Of course I do think it is better we stand by USA and it is stupid to support North Korea.

The question is not just what US will do, but also what China will do.
Will China cut off the oil supply to North Korea if it continues to do nuclear missile test? China can, but not sure if China will do that.
Cutting off the oil means there is no war!
North Korea definitely cannot get the trucks to move if oil supply is totally cut.
