I like the action. But the characters and pacing is where I have a problem. Because the grim melodrama outweighs the characterization, and characterization is vital to any form of drama. It's annoying because Attack On Titan in my opinion has a great cast of characters, but we don't enough time with'em to care when terror strikes.

@bela360 Huh, didn't expect you agree with me, though given my assessment, I shouldn't be surprised if others share my sentiments.
Admittedly Season 2 is doing well with Connie, Ymir and Krista. But the lack of Eren looking to learn about what his dad hid away bugs me as that felt like it was dropped. I haven't read the manga yet, but this feels like a McGuffin to me from watching S2 on Toonami. So I hoped that plot line was addressed in the manga.
