He is 17 years old and grade 12 soon. It's not a full time job but just a one month working program by the government called Special Program for the Employment of Student or SPES. It's a good training and experience for him. He will work in the local government unit as a cleaner. He will learn the value of the job. Just like me when I'm at his age when I worked as student laborer in our school.

Hopefully after the month of work, he will appreciate the hard work of a cleaner. He will probably study very hard so that he will not have to work as a cleaner for life. Personally I think it is good for teens to work so that they know how hard it is to earn money.

@ilocosboy Yes, he will be more understanding. I hate those people who think that our jobs are easy when they do not even know what we are doing.

That's good to hear! Atleast his one month will become valuable to him, not unlike any other boys who like to spend their month just to sleep, eat, rest, and not helping their families while they're on a vacation. Kudos to that!

I hope he doesn't learn how to be a corrupt worker because he's working for the Government. And congratulations for him. I was never allowed to work part time back in my youth.
