Over time, have you noticed how easy it is to be misunderstood in a text or post?

I have had a computer for many years, and a cell phone for less. I have noticed that it is so easy to be misunderstood. You cannot hear the persons tone. Some words can have other meanings. Sometimes you can think someone is angry and maybe they aren't. It may be on Facebook. You see them signed in and suddenly you send them a message, and they disappear. You think did that person do that on purpose or was he leaving anyway or something else? Texting can sometimes get us into trouble.

You are so right. I used the microphone to send a text one time and forgot to turn it off. It overheard me talking and typed what it thought I said. Well, I have never used such vulgar words in my life!

Wow! I never heard of that before. My phone transcribes voice into messages, and it can really mess up my boyfriend's messages.

@MsBooklover The "almost"funny thing was that the previous text was to my supervisor and if I had accidentally sent that next text, I'm sure that would have been the end of my job. And it was a complete sentence!

@1creekgirl To think you could have lost your job over something that was not your fault is so scary.

I agree that verbal communication is better than written communication. We might not be able to express ourselves well at times when using written communications

It is true, and in writing sometimes it may seem like the person is angry. You might assume it, and they may not be angry.
