The Rose-Eating Mechanical Garden Snake - Maybe there is something in the ground here in South Texas that other soils do not have. In the garden here we found a metal garden snake, kind of brass in coloration, that had gone after a pretty rose flower. We could see that the flower blossom had tried to escape, but this metallic monster snake just twisted around the flower and was about to swallow it just before we showed up on the scene. Ain't Nature full of surprises? Image: Composite Gus Kilthau

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - I thought that I might trip you up by mentioning clever instead of cleaver. I should know by now that you would not let that one pass by unchallenged. The items used to make the pic of the snake trying to eat the rose were one of Esther's roses from the garden at the old home and a photo from Pixabay showing an electrical connector "jack." (see the attached image). Gus.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Is that anything at all like a meat clever, one that takes a beautiful roast of beef and makes chop-beef "Big Macs" of it? Oh yes, thanks for the kind words concerning the snakey image, It was all fun. -Gus-

@responsiveme - If this were a Wuzzit, you could call it out for being an "audio" type of electrical jack. Remarkably, I have one just like the one shown in a comment below with which to start the electrical motors on my little mobility scooter. The rose flower is one I dropped into the image via image "layering" - and it is of a rose from my bride's old garden. -Gus-
