Time Sure Had Wings

This past Sunday April 23 was the marking of my dad’s 112th birthday. He was born in 1905. Since then so many years have just flown. I was 10 when he left me and the photo shows me and dad for the last time in the summer of 1967 and he died that November. If I have to consider how much time has gone since then it just astounds me. This day I was also reminded of that song “I’ve Written a Letter to Daddy” from the horror movie “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” but the song is most heartfelt. It is funny that even after all this time since I lost him as a child I can only still think of him as daddy.
