How many of you don't drive a car for one reason or another? How do you deal with it?

Do you drive a car? If not, why? Is it the cost? Do you have a medical reason? You don't like to drive? I don't drive because I have epilepsy. It is difficult not driving. I have all the needs people do who drive a car. I prefer to be independent. I don't want to be a burden to others. Public transportation is either not dependable or costly. How do you deal with it?

I sold my car for what I decoded were medical reasons. I use taxis and public transportation.

@MsBooklover Public transportation is not very expensive. But I have to take a cab to reach the public transportation and that is expensive.

How long does it take to get to work? What do you do? Does it cost a lot to take a bus?

I don't drive a car. I started learning as a teen, but then went to university where I could walk everywhere and didn't see the point to continue. However, now it's different. I do have my learner's permit again, as I think it will be good to have. Not sure when I'll be able to take the driver's test, but I am hoping soon, as I would like to be able to drive and eventually get a car.

@MsBooklover Thanks. It will definitely be easier to get places. Thankfully, we do have a good bus system, but we're kind of getting tired of always using the bus.

@dodo19 I never liked using the bus or Taxi. I would rather live close to places.
