It's better to know a person isn't liked than to have a bunch of fake people pretending to be cool with the person or persons. Here's the thing not everyone will like every person in the world for whatever reason. In fact there will be a lot of people who really hate others. Hate if a "strong" and damaging emotion. Hate doesn't solve a problem but will create lots of problems. Even Jesus Christ was hated. "There's a lot of people who aren't satisfied" with themselves and when they're not then they'll try to bring others down. There's way too much to deal with then to be concerned if we're liked or not. There's two persons who will love unconditionally at all times. God the Creator of Mankind and Jesus Christ. No matter what one does or doesn't do they'll always love and are forgivers. So when it appears as if there's little to no one displaying love. There is always love flowing somewhere. "The key is to think positive" and not worry about the ones who are hating but pay close attention to the ones who display love. Love is not about what's said anyway. Love is shown. The world will be filled of lots of individuals who aren't even capable of loving themselves so therefore they're unable to love others. "Be of Good Courage. There is Still Hoe yet. Just Hold on." There's a woman at work who is very two-faced trying to act caring but talking bad to others about each other. It has to be a very lonely life.

These types of people can only attract others like them.

Its awful to think someone likes you, then they gossip and say bad things about you behind your back.

Of course it's better to know if you aren't liked than to have people pretending to like you when they don't. But that doesn't stop people from pretending they like you when they know they don't. Fakers and haters are not a new phenomenon. It's a well established social behavior. Or should I say “misbehavior”? Anyway it's not right. But people do it. I don't concern myself with it. I'm more concerned with trying to obey Jesus. He said to love everybody, including your enemies. I devote my efforts to obeying that command. If people don't like me, they'll probably choose to be my enemy. What am I going to do? I can't win them over. I don't even know they don't like me because they're pretending. But I'll love everybody and not do anything evil to anybody just because they don't like me or even hate me. You follow me? Do you think it's hard to love your enemy?? It's a rhetorical question but feel free to answer.

Love is shown every day in the things that you say and do. What a nice discussion that you wrote.

Your post is very good. People who feel insure about themselves will tend to berate others to make themselves feel better.
