Dear guys, we all know pretty well that Protein is one of the important nutrients required for the body. The proteins is a building block for the body. Protein is available from the natural food and this will be in fewer quantities. One has to depend on external foods designed especially making it protein rich. But do you know that for any person a protein obtained from regular food is sufficient to maintain good health? The excess of protein is required only for building muscles and can be preferred mostly by the body builders, wrestlers etc., who do lot of physical exercises. If one crosses the limit of the required protein level one is bound to suffer from very complicated diseases and this may be fatal also. They mostly suffer from GOUT which does not have any treatment.

I do know that we need proteins so as to build the "bricks" in our body. But it is not needed much every day. We need a lot less meat than what most people eat each day.

Our family gets protein from vegetables and fruits, not animal products. However, what some don't know is excess proteins not just from animal products, but also from legumes, etc. can cause gout symptoms. Change of menu could relieve symptoms. Prescription medications available often have terrible side effects.

Normal foods containing fish oils, legumes, some meat are sufficient to have a good health. We need not go for them specially.

@shivamani10 We don't eat fish oils or meat, but do have some legumes. Research about the protein from non-animal foods surprised me.

Whoa that is a scary photo! I think the requirement is between 45-50 grams per day depending on your gender.

This much is enough. We should not have more than what we require. That is meant for body builders and wrestlers.

Good information. I didn't realize gout was from excess protein.

yes. we should not prefer more protein than required as we do not exercise properly and we are not wrestlers or bodybuilders.
