Once there was a rich businessman who was always busy in his work came across a village area for some business purpose. There he saw a farmer resting under the tree. He surprisingly looked at him and went to him and asked "why are you not working?" The farmer replied, Why would I ? That rich man said, to earn more and more money.
Farmer : What will happen then ?
Rich man : you'll be rich like me.
Farmer : Then what ?
Rich man : you'll be happy and will always live in peace .
Farmer : what do you think I am feeling now resting under this tree ?
Rich man was shocked by his reply.
Farmer then told him, I work sufficient enough to feed my family and earn enough to have a satisfactory life. I am happy and in peace resting under this tree between the nature.
If I try to work more, my soul will become greedy and will run for more and more which will not make me happy with what I have because sometime or the other I'll be needing a little more from what I have. So it's better to control your hunger towards unnecessary things.
Rich man learned a lesson for his life.

Yes, thank you. It was once told by an old man to me, and since this knowledge is passing on since ages so I decided to keep forwarding good things to more and more people.

You'll be happy and will always live in peace??? If I try to work more, my soul will become greedy?? I disagree with the rich man and the farmer. They're both talking about material things. One thinks their possessions will give them happiness and peace. The other thinks their possessions will make them greedy and cause them grief. Truth is you can be happy and at peace whether you are rich or poor. That's the lesson I've learned in my life. You'll feel miserable though if you don't work and rest.

I think a 40 mintes of meditation or yoga is enough to keep you in peace while you're enjoying the materialistic life. I feel running after pleasure is not bad but the thing is that you should enjoy whatever you are getting at the present moment without evaluating it.
