Just watched Dateline they we're talking about the murder of Gianni Versace, i remember hearing about this on the news as a kid but i never knew all the details. The documentary focused on the murderer Andrew Cunanan showing his background and how he had said once met Gianni at a nightclub and may have had a obsession with him.
Andrew Cunanan was a serial killer and he seemed to target former friends of his and affluent gay men, he killed people in Minnesota, Chicago, NewJersey and Florida, before killing himself.
Cunanan will be portrayed by Darren Criss in the third season of the anthology series American Crime Story

Andrew Philip Cunanan is Filipino-American and he is gay himself just like his older victims and his motive or motives is still not clear up to now

@chrissbergstrom terrible if people acted like he did, I mean kill those who have wronged you........there is something just not right with him. He is also a type of serial killer that targets a certain group.

According to the documentary his father was Filipino and his mother Italian, i do believe it is obvious he killed those he had felt had wronged him in some way and he did target mostly gay men besides the groundskeeper he killed to steal his truck

This was such a sad time I remember it well.

I did not know it was a serial killer. I remember when the crime happened and it was portrayed in the news as a celebrity gets stalked killing.

No but not definitely was planned as he camped out at a hotel near his mansion and this was a very rare occurrence Gianni got the morning paper himself usually he sent someone for it
