National Prayer Day

Thursday, May 4, 2017 is National Prayer Day, and previous articles have suggested that we should Pray for national unity. America is more divided than ever, and often the disagreements have turned to contempt between individuals and groups. We need to gain more respect and appreciation for each other, as we all bring a great deal to the table. Let us turn the constant ideological mud slinging contest, into a rational discussion of public policy that leads to good government that promotes the common good. We must crawl before we can walk, and before we can produce beneficial public policies we need to learn how to talk to each other in a respectful and rational manner. Please join me and Pray for national reconciliation and unity. Will you join me?

I will join you, gladly! In fact, I pray for our country to unify every day. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of factors working for years--more than the past 8 years, I might add--to divide us and dissolve us from within. We can start with our own selves, quit thinking the opposite political side is stupid and misinformed and try to understand or compromise rather than criticize and belittle.
