Advice to Balitmore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones. Smile at your tormentors

My advice to Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones who has been in the news recently after some Boston Red Sox fans racially insulted him and one of threw a bag of peanuts at him as he went into the dugout on Monday is embrace the haters.
I mean Jones has suggested that the Red Sox fans who racially insulted him should pay heavy fines that in hurts their wallets.
Come on Adam, any Wordgirl fan (namely me) knows that if someone says about you that is not true, then ignore it and carry on and play baseball.
But the mental giant of the Orioles has opened a can of worms by calling out a few "poor devils" as my late mom used to call her haters saying the fans have a right to insult him, but keep his race out of it.
Don't hold your breath Adam. I do not see Superman telling the Legion Of Doom "Kryptonite can harm me."

@FourWalls That is true. The hate he received from fans and opposing players was very harsh. Come on does Superman tell Lex Luthor "Keep that Kyrptonite from me because it can harm me?"

The thing I don't understand about it is why did the governor and the mayor apologize? Boston didn't do it. Massachusetts didn't do it. One or two drunk loudmouths did it. (Oh, I know why: politicians will use any excuse to get attention!)
I'm also curious how this could have happened in the "educated, enlightened" northeastern land of Boston. Aren't we always told that it's only us dumb hick southerners who are racists?
