They are nothing but Old wine in a New bottle

Most of the times I feel that the village life I had is far better than this city life which is totally artificial and devoid of mutual cooperation and affections. People in their eagerness to earn money come and settle in Hyderabad without realizing the fact that the life they are foregoing is more valuable one. After settling here they realize that they did a great blunder.
If I wanted milk I was calling the person having buffalos in his house and he was bringing 1 liter of milk in a container or he was sending it to my house through one of his family people.
If I wanted to get my clothes ironed I was sending them to a person who was pressing them very nicely for a minimum charge of Rs.2/- per shirt/trousers.
Getting a transport was easy as the general mode of transport was a Rickshaw or a tricycle. These people were standing at one corner waiting for their customer. If I come out and call for one people were coming hurriedly. They were collecting my luggage, keeping it in their tricycle and were taking me to the destination. This has become a luxury in the city.
There were even 'Tanga' which is a horse drawn coach. If I want to take my breakfast there was a lady in front of my house who was preparing nice breakfast fresh. I was going there and she was serving hot items keeping very neatly in a plate. They are now shifting their work to the city and starting some canteens with various stylish names.
Sometimes, I was having SOME VEG STEW as my breakfast. It was being prepared with varieties of cereals, spices, and Dal. We were calling it GANJI at home. Most of the people were having it in their houses. There is another variety made of Millets and some with the coarse wheat grains. We were adding sugar to it. Nowadays we find this stuff in Big Hotels of Hyderabad known by the name SOUP.
There were neighbors who were helping each other. In the case of necessity, they were all coming and doing help voluntarily. But, this is not found anywhere among the people living in cities. They feel ego and serving others is considered as below dignity.
If I want to go out and work in the backyard of the house or for bringing anything personally I was going out in knicker type underwear. In the cities, this has taken the form with different name SHORTS.
Nothing is changed but everything is shifted to the city with a different name.
Do you agree with me? Everything is old wine in a new bottle

Your article paints a beautiful picture of community - the sort of which is rare here. Other than that I can say that you're right. I used to live in a bigger city, people aren't bad ... but are in more of a hurry, more emphasis on buying things... now I live in a more rural area and it's slower paced, not everything is fancy or hurried.

You might have noticed the value of human relations they attach to in life. They participate in group activities, share their happiness and sorrow, they come and tell lies against one another, they quarrel with each other, again the next moment they become friendly and move freely in parties, social gatherings. Are they not different and superior to City culture and its people? As you rightly said, the people in the city start running with preoccupation and no time to pay attention even to their neighbor though no one is bad
