Adam and Eve - Were They Real People?

A lot of sincere churchgoers have been told that Adam and Eve are not real. That the story of Adam and Eve is an allegory? What do you think? The fact is, that a person would have to reject a lot of scriptures confirming their existence, if they did not believe that Adam and Eve were real people and not just a myth. Acts 17:26 says: “God made out of one man every nation of men.” Romans 5:12, 14 says: “Through one man, (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin and thus…death ruled as king from Adam down to Moses.” 1 Corinthians 15:45 says: “The first man Adam became a living soul.” 1 Timothy 2:13 says: “Adam was formed first, then Eve.” Jude 14 says: “The seventh one in line from Adam, Enoch, prophesied also regarding the wicked.” And the most important, Jesus Christ who is the most credible witness in the Bible, acknowledged the existence of Adam and Eve, when he said at Mark 10:6-9: “From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. On this account a man will leave his father and mother and the two will be one flesh.” Jesus would not have used an allegory to establish a binding legal precedent. He quoted the Genesis account as fact. The historicity of Adam confirms that Jesus gave his perfect human life as a ransom, to redeem or buy back something that Adam had lost or forfeited. That is why the Bible describes Jesus as “a corresponding ransom.” (1 Timothy 2:6) To what did he correspond? The Bible answers that question at 1 Corinthians 15:22 “Just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.” The perfect life that Jesus sacrificed to redeem obedient mankind corresponds EXACTLY to the perfect life that Adam lost as a result of the original sin in Eden. Clearly, if Adam did not exist, Christ’s ransom would not have been necessary. So, Adam and Eve did exist. Don’t let someone tell you any different.

I grew up thinking of them as fables but when I became a Christian when I was 20 I realized they were real flesh and blood people as were all the Bible people. It was exciting and I remember well how my eyes were opened.

They were real, a they were the very first parents, that God created. I believe in the whole bible as the bible says they existed, and when the bile says sometthing it is so true. God says what he means and means what he says. People can take that to the bank.

@rosekiss Yes, I have found that to be VERY true. Every time you read the Bible through, you find something new. I usually say to myself when I discover something "new:" Now, why do I feel that I have not read that in the Bible before, when I know that I MUST have read it before?

This is all due to the effect of Technological development we are getting doubts. We are suspecting our own grand people who don't need any reason to lie with others. They are all mentioned in great books with great experience. We cannot suspect them in the name of rationalism or Atheism which are totally useless and only meant for publicity.
