Do you know the expanded form of VIRUS ?

We hear the term often. It is always used in abbreviated form, but does anybody know the full set of words? I know it but would like to see if I get some interesting responses...answer coming up shortly.

Exactly, I mean VIRUS is an acronym. To give you a hint...'V' stands for vital. Thanks for replying.
