So, I've been having MAJOR cramps due to obvious reasons. I've tried pills (pamprin) and I cannot find a heating pad which is what usually helps me. I know most women are different when it comes to things, but how do you cope when this happens and what do you do to make the pain go away? Even slightly.

Intetesting that you posted this because I had the same problem this morning. What helps me is drinking water or something warm (coffee or tea and exercising is a big one that can help. Helps me at least. Also if you are not on birth control that helps a lot too. Hope they go away quick.

Yeah, I was on birth control but had to get off of it because all they would provide is the pill and I always forgot to take it.

@touchess_manic why would they only provide the pill? All places are supposed to have them all and give you a choice. But being on birth control does help some women with cramps. But not all.

@Courtlynn I'm not sure. Maybe because it was my family doctor and not the gynecologist. But I'm hoping to go soon to get a better birth control because when I was on the pill, the cramps did recede enough.

I'm well past that problem now but when I came across Pamprin in the late 70s I was overjoyed, as Midol did nothing for me. My next sister, on the other hand, would get stoned on half a Midol.
