Yesterday, as I walked to the liquor store, I stopped at the Manitou Arcade and treated myself to a game of Galaga.
Galaga is an arcade game developed by Namco. It was released in both Japan and the US in 1981, and is the sequel to the 1979 game, Galaxian.
In Galaga, you are in control of a spaceship, trying to destroy enemies as they attempt to shoot, ram, or capture you.
I scored a whopping 29,500 points yesterday. The world records were set by Stephen Krogman of Boca Raton, Florida, with 15, 999, 990 points (Marathon setting,) Andrew Laidlaw of Kirkland, Washington, with 4, 525, 150 points (Tournament setting,) John E. Klinkel of Battle Creek, Michigan, with 3, 210, 590 points (Rapid Fire setting,) and Daniel Rodriguez of Hialeah, Florida, with 4, 300, 360 points (Fast Shoot Speed setting.)
Galaga has been featured in several movies, notably, War Games and The Avengers.
And it's still fun all these decades later.!

@teamfreak16 Oh I see, not too bad. I wouldn't last very long in games. Is it costly to play?

Not really. Level six or something. I hadn't played it in a long time.

It's fun. I played it a lot back in the 80's.

Sweet! I love that there is an arcade near you. Did you get high score on the machine?
