Natural or with meds?

After talking to @LovingMyBabies about our kids birth weights, it sparked my own question about childbirth.
I had my daughter all natrual with no pain meds, and while some people choose that because they believe it is safer for them/their child, I had no choice. I was too dialated when I got to the hospital and they wouldn't give me an epidural or anything.
So I was curious how many of us in myLot land who have given birth/or who's wives have given birth, was your childbirth all natural or did you have pain meds/epidural?

I have always felt a bit cheated, although other women tell me not to. I had c-sections with both my children due to a pre-existing medical problem and never went into labor or broke water at all. They were both scheduled and went off smoothly. I was so angry and frustrated, though, that they would not let me look in a mirror or take down the drape so that I could see my babies being "born". I have never experienced a labor pain.

I have mixed feelings about the all natural/ no pain thing, because it wasn't my choice. I am blessed that I got to see her be born, however I was alone when she was born. Besides the nurse and doctor there was no one else in the room.

I can understand your frustration with that. My water didnt break either. They had to break it.

After 24hrs in labor, I had a C-section. So yes yes yes to the meds. I was entirely happy to have a C-section.

I had all 5 of my children naturally. My youngest daughter was the same situation as you-I was 9 cm when I got to the hospital! But with the others it was my choice to have natural births. =)
