Hello friends, It is not needed to mention about the hot climate as many are discussing the same already here. All are tolerating the scorching heat. In this scenario drinking safe water is some thing we have to be careful on daily basis. Boiling water is my best method to make it safe for drinking. Yes, it is time consuming task as we need to boil then allow it cool then put in the refrigerator to make it cool. But it is worth in the long run as there are many water born diseases spread in summer. What is your method to make the water safe for drinking? Or do you buy drinking water?

We have a 3 stage filter at home besides buying alkaline water and mineral water for my elderly mother. Note the impurities the filter takes out even if we have safe and clean tap water

@hereandthere it runs on natural water pressure, its attached to the faucet, when you open it, it will force water through the 3 canister filters and come out clean thru a stainless pipe, no electricity needed. The action is instant like your natural faucet.

@Sreekala All I can give them five minutes to get out of the house as well. I open the doors wide open to give them a chance to get out if not they have had it. I only go after the annoying ones really and I am a big softie.

We were planning to buy a purifier but it seemed more practical to buy some containers in the water refilling station.

To drink boil water is the best bet to safeguard ourselves from water borne diseases. We use water filter to get safe water. Sometimes, when need arises we make the water boil and cool it down for drinking.

@Sreekala I get my water filter serviced regularly and taste and flavour of water tell about its quality. We have been drinking water from our water filter for quite a long time, we have not faced any problem. We take boiling water if someone falls ills and Doctor specifically advice to take boiling water.

How do you know, you need to boil the water? Is there any method to check the purity of water from water filter?

I buy my water. It is safe already. I can drink tap water. but they add chlorine and flouride to the water and I don't like this that much.

Chlorine may purify the water but the taste is different then.

@minx267 If you are allergic then you have to collect water in a bucket and keep some time before bathing. Keeping the water in a bucket open, will help a lot.

@Sreekala I think it is fine, my friend. We never drink straight from the tap water. We can't be sure if the old pipes are still in good condition.

You are right about boiling the water. We put a filtration system in that was very inexpensive here. The water supply for us is from the city and they add chlorine and other chemicals during their 'purification' process. Our system removed the chemicals and a few other things.
