1st Grader Shot At School

We had a tragedy here yesterday. A first grader was accidentally shot by a gun brought to school by another 1st grader. He was airlifted to a hospital in a bigger city where he underwent surgery and is in ICU in critical condition. We are all praying for his recovery. We are also praying for the other children in the classroom who witnessed the tragedy. The parents of the boy who brought the gun to school will probably face charges in the shooting. Some people here think they should face charges and others think they should not. Personally I think they should be held responsible. They should have secured the gun better. I know everyone has a difference of opinion on gun laws. I believe that this is a good reason why we need more gun safety taught in schools. And I also think adults should need a gun safety class before being able to purchase a gun. What are your thoughts on this? Also - please keep everyone involved in your prayers.
