School Brigade is commonly known here in our place as "Brigada Eskwela." This is an activity conducted by the Department of Education. In its mission to provide safe and clean learning spaces for Filipino learners, the Department of Education (DepEd) jumpstarted this year’s Brigada Eskwela simultaneous with all the public schools in the country.
The week-long school maintenance practice aims to prepare schools for the coming school year and to promote volunteerism among the members of the community. Its a worthwhile activity joined by the whole school community.
Do you also have this in your place?

Schools here are also maintained by utility persons but this is just the initiative of the Department of Education to make sure that everything is well taken cared off.

Yes we also have this. During my elementary years there's still no brigada eskwela when school opens the school is not yet prepared and we still have to do the cleaning of the school ourselves. Now teachers make sure the room is prepared and the whole school. It's nice to see parents and other organizations work hand in hand
