It was rain playing spoilsport in Bengaluru. Kolkata restricted Hyderabad to decent 128 runs in 20 overs. They got dangerous Warner for 36 runs. But then it rained for 2 and half hours. If the play had been abandoned Hyderabad would have qualified for being 3rd in the points table. But play resumed, Kolkata had to get 48 runs in 6 overs. Kolkata panicked again. Lynn went for 6, Pathan and Utthappa messed up the cause. Gambhir then anchored the innings, remained unbeaten on 32 runs and got Kolkata home. They deserved to win.
