People are so Rude to Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman is one of my favorite actors, and I recently started following him on Facebook. I'm shocked at how many of his "fans" (or followers) are flat out rude when responding to his posts. He shares a lot of pictures of his food, which doesn't bother me -- it's interesting to see how he eats -- but every time he shares something, people come out in droves informing him that he made it wrong, or that he called whatever recipe by the wrong name (because how dare Australians have similar recipes to that of other cultures, but are called something different! Like this dessert he shared a while back that Hispanic people kept insisting was really flan and kept calling him stupid, but it turned out it wasn't actually the same thing at all.) Some people even make offensive remarks about his weight. On a post he shared earlier of the enchiladas he made for dinner, one jerk asked if he was preparing for the role of Jabba the Hut now that he was done playing Wolverine. What on earth would compel someone to say that to him? Hugh Jackman is in better physical shape than most of us will ever be, but all these people keep trying to body shame him for some reason. I know he's not the only celebrity who gets this kind of negative attention from trolls, but usually it's women celebrities who don't fit the typical "Hollywood standards" of beauty who get a lot of flack from the public. I just don't understand why anyone would say such mean things, especially to someone who seems like such a genuinely nice person. And if these people who constantly feel the need to criticize celebrities don't like the celebrities they're criticizing, why on earth are they following them on social media? I know I don't follow actors I don't like just so I can insult them. Maybe it makes them feel big to try to belittle someone famous, but it makes me sad whenever I see people saying such mean things, especially to entertainers who've brought me nothing but joy. It makes me mad seeing people constantly picking on Hugh, but then I was raised with the notion that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
