Mylot friends, a week ago, I've sent out my partial R&R to the agent for Venom. This morning, I've heard back from her. Other than she thanked me for the revisions, she did ask for a synopsis for my other WIPs mss. I've mentioned it in passing in her email, since I told her about it in February via Facebook message, and then the agent before her in her agency, had only requested a sample from my others. So I sent her partials.
This I believe is a real good sign. I just have to send her two of mine (one old one, one for my current ms) tomorrow, and the other two next week. I have to tweak Venoms' and write one for a dormant manuscript that has no beta and had only a few chapters edited last year, before the holidays. And then she was busy with other projects of her own to balance it out. It's been on the backburner.
Needless to say, I received a critique from someone from my online crit list today on last week's submission. Other than some general comments, he told me to forget about her, since he said he wasn't ready. I hate naysayers like that. He doesn't know Venom's backstory of how many years I've worked on it, how many revisions it had been worked on with various feedback from editors at contests and personalized feedback from agents. So I emailed him and told him that I disagreed with him, thanked him for his feedback, and gave him the backstory on it.
So right now, I'm going up, up and away to become closer to making my dreams come true in a hot air balloon....
