World Community Grid .... What is this?

It is something I think is very interesting to look at:
The world community grid is just that, a mass grid that uses people's computers, who use the app to participate from BOINC that enables users who want to take part voluntarily, to let their PC do some calculating when the system is idle to help with many projects that are done on a world wide scale to help find cures for cancer, ebola, and many other issues that have dyer consequences on the human population and the quality of life for people with diseases and by using your computer at home using the BOINC app provided, will make you a participant in the world's largest global effort to wipe out diseases and help aid research just by allowing the processes to be run on your computer.

I wish I had known of it years before. I used to run CETI at home using the same app to look for intelligent life in the universe. It took a lot of computer resources so I had to uninstall it. I may not have enough resources to keep running this latest app but will try it for a few days to see if it runs well or not on my computer.
