Former Motorcycle Grand Prix world champion Nicky Hayden who was involved in a motorcycle accident in Italy five days ago, passed away from "cerebral damage" at a hospital in Cesena Italy. Hayden, 35, will be best remembered as one of the gentlemen in his profession as a motorcycle rider with the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team. Hayden was in training for a competition in Italy when his motorcycle collided with an automobile near Rimini Italy on May 17. Hayden achieved his childhood dream of being world champion in the sport of motorcycle riding in 2006 when he was a member of Honda team. It is a shame that the good guys in sports die young these days.

Even one of the best motorcycle riders in the world can fall prey to an off track accident.
