Lucky are those with crystal clear eyes. I don't.
Mama told me when I was young "stop reading in a dim lit area. do not read while lying down. eat squash or carrots so your eyes will never give you trouble as you grow old.."Stuff like that pertaining to taking care of your eyes.
Too bad, I am now using a progressive lenses at 43. The Ophthalmologist that I started young for the progressive lenses. Doc told me normally people who have this kind of specs are aged 50's. But what can I do. I am always in front of the computer. My work requires me to work 8 hours in front of the computer. I thought I just couldn't read so I have a prescription for reading glasses but then again I am also far-sighted and got astigmatism already.
Good thing about Progressive lenses, you don't need to remove your eyeglasses when you read and when walking since I have an issue with being far-sighted. A bit expensive than the normal specs but it is I think cheaper in the long run.
Everytime I remove my glasses, I couldn't see well.
. I know I am trying to look at something or I am trying to read something but it is just blurry.
I have this crazy habit of removing my glasses and will try to see without it and that is when I will regret of not taking care of my eyes.
If I have followed my mom's reminders will my eyes still be clear? I am not sure if there is truth in every carrots and squash consumption that you need to get a clear vision if you started eating your veggies when you were a kid.

The Ophthalmologist mentioned I can only use specs for my astigmatism but not for the reading yet. But anyways, I felt comfortable wearing progressive lenses despite the advise not to have one yet. At least now I only have one eyeglasses instead of two. one for the astigmatism and one for reading.

@sweetys_kitty - yes. it is much easier with only one. I waited until it drove me crazy not being able to see anything close to me face.. I was trying to pet my cats as they were close to me and I could not see them.. that was when I decided to pay the price and get the progressive lenses!

Good thing they invented specs else we will not appreciate the beauty of our surroundings.
