Should youths care about politics?

In Singapore, youths are quite politically apathetic and I am also one of them. I don't really care about politics because I feel that Singapore is politically stable with good leaders. However, it is a worrying sign that people are increasingly less concerned with politics.
What about you and your country?

Lee Kuan Yew brought prosperity and stability to a backwater country and the price for this was political dissent was not allowed during his strongman rule. It's the same thing we are seeing in China where people are encourage to engage in capitalism but the politburo decides on political issues.
