To Help or Not To Help...That Was The Question When...

This is #5 of the Five Thought Starter Challenges I suggested a few days ago. I decided to take my own challenges and then I was hoping that some others on myLot would take the challenges also.
I like reading personal stories about various incidents that you have experienced. So I was hoping that some of you would think of some things that have happened to you and write about them.
This is an ongoing question…whether to help someone or not. Now, that may seem like a simple decision, when you see someone who needs help.
However, it’s not always SAFE , especially for a woman to respond to someone who needs help.
An example: A woman saw a car with the hood up, that seemed to be broken down on a back road. A girl and a small child stood by the car, looking distressed. The woman stopped to help and was assaulted and robbed by a man who came out of the woods.
The best thing to do in a situation like that is call for someone else to help.
Each situation needs to be considered, for your OWN safety. So, depending on the situation, always consider the possibilities.
What do you think?

It's safer to call for help. You just never know anymore what some people will do.

Yes, first one must look out for their own safety. We have quite a few strange people here in Riga especially in the city and on suburban back roads. The best thing to do when you see someone needs help is to call the police and give their location and make yourself scarce.

It's best to call the police, Yes, and let them take care of the situation.
