Why is Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant a villain?

One of the most interesting angles coming from the 2017 National Basketball Association Finals will be if Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant who signed a huge contract with the Warriors at the end of the 2015-16 basketball season as a free agent can win his first championship ring in 2017? Durant is being painted as a villain by fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder for leaving the team to join the Warriors who are being compared to a Dream Team. Durant had the right to pursue his dream of playing a team that has a very good chance to achieve his dream of winning his first NBA championship ring with the Warriors. Durant simply said that the other teams that are not in contention to make it to the NBA Finals should follow the example of the Warriors by building up a super team instead of pointing fingers at him. But many teams that are not in contention to win an NBA championship are doing a disservice to their fan base by not making an effort to win basketball games with their best players on the court. And Durant is to blame? Maybe Kevin should have a chat with Spider Man who is not exactly the apple of Daily Bugle editor John Jonah Jameson.

I can understand OKC's frustration. Durant has the right to play for whom he pleases but an example of all that's wrong with the NBA. A third year GSW-CLE finals. Why bother having a season at all? You can't have 30 super teams. This GSW-CLE thing will indefinitely continue as San Antonio continues to play super team catch up with their sites on signing Chris Paul or another superstar. The NBA has become a three team league. Just another reason why NBA ratings and attendance is down.

The NBA reminds of the college football era in the Big 10 Conference when Ohio State and Michigan were the top teams and the rest of the conference was just lucky to have a chance to compete for a conference championship.

I agree, see nothing wrong with it. He is just doing what everyone wants when you get to that level. Living out his dream and giving himself the best chance to succeed in accomplishing his dream. That beings said I agree with Mr Roberts, think the NBA has a huge problem on their hand, as there is no parody in the league what so over. The difference between baseball, football, and the NBA is the everyone is so talented in baseball and football. The little things is really what separates the worse teams to the best. Anyone can really beat anyone on any given day. NBA season was boring, playoffs were the worse I have ever seen in the terms of competition. Just no one had the talent to compete with Golden State and Cleveland. Golden State went 12-0 and Cleveland went 12-1 so far in the playoffs.
