Does the kind of music i listen to matter

Yes it matters! to the making of music there is no end, with so much music available you must be selective of the kind of music you listen to, some songs could make you feel life is all a dream but honestly life's not, some songs like Tommy Lee uncle demon ....it's like worshipping the devil or putting the devil before god, we spend more time listening to music that's destroying us , what if we were spending our music time reading the Bible? BAD associations spoil useful habit's you can't be listening to the bad and expect to do the good now can you? have you ever spent so much time with a friend that you found yourself beginning to act, talk and even think like that person? well listening to music is like spending hours conversing with the one who wrote and sang it, "I had a nice home and family but somehow it wasn't enough, I wanted the adventure, excitement and thrills which sounded so sweet in the songs I downloaded,I felt something was wrong with my marriage" explained a young woman Sarah listening to gospel music will not harm you,it will improve ur self esteem, cause u to become a better person, it will built you up, you could listen to which music you want to once the words of the music improves you

You are right. Music in the true and literal sense of the word must have a social redemptive value---it must always uplift, strenghten and inspire the human spirit.

I got your point. My mood right now it's not the best, because I feel kind of down, so I tend to listen sad music, and maybe I feel identified but it doesn't help me a lot. Maybe I need to hear another kind of music? Something more happy maybe?

I understand I was once like dat but the sad songs gets u more down and can cause u to hurt ur self, You see sometimes when you vex or anger or sad it's never good to pick the song that tells u how u feel at the moment ,you might feel DAT it comforts you but then it's destroying u by telling u hey we in the same boat ,those things bring ur self esteem way down that's not good ,I rather advice u when you sad don't listen to any music or listen to a song that will get ur mind of everything for the moment

@cherrbuublueberry This is a good advice :') Thanks God I've never hurt myself. I always try not to hear these sad songs but it's hard not to do it, because they're my favorites. I also hear very optimistic songs and I have one friend that always help me with it, he send me motivational things and that helps. Thank you so much :D

I think if one is so easily influenced by other people, one may need to pick their own tastes, not the others.

I would disagree. Music can be used as expression so it can change with your mood, but it wasn't the music that changed your mood. It was simply the effect of your changed mood. The type of music you listen to doesn't matter, especially with everyone listening to everything these days. I know people who switch from classical to rock to country and all the way back. It's just apart of life. It's something our brain craves and so we give into it, doesn't necessarily mean that it matters when defining our character.

That's true I'll admit but same way there's good and bad people There's good and bad music

Music is very important to me and i listen to a lot of different music. Sometimes it's sad songs and sometimes happier songs will be played. It is a valuable form of art, it can help people connect to one another and give you a look into someone's feelings while also leaving the lyrics to your own interpretation. I believe what's good or bad for every person will change, since we all have different thoughts, beliefs and behavior. And it's great that there's such a wild range of music to pick from :)
