Heading For North Carolina
I will be going to North Carolina in a few weeks to spend some time with my oldest son and his wife. My daughter-in-law’s father passed away a few weeks ago, so my son said that she is looking forward to my visit.
My grandson always goes with me and they like for him to come. They don’t have any children.
We can possibly take her mind off of things for a few days. They always have some things planned for us to do. And we just enjoy visiting and talking, working some jigsaw puzzles and playing poker with poker chips.
My son will invite some of his friends over to play poker if they are in town. Since it’s going to be June, they may be on vacation, but we shall see.
Either way, I always look forward to spending a few days with them.

I hope so too. Next week, the weather report tonight said that it would be in the low 80s all week with some rain.

I know we are to expect storms today and *I think* maybe tomorrow.. I live in the Triad. I haven't seen the weather report since yesterday though.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter in laws father. Thats very sad. Glad you will be visiting them and giving them a few good days.

Yes, it was fairly sudden, although he was in his 80s. I hope I can cheer her up some. way.

I hope so too. We always do have a good time, but I'm concerned about my daughter-in-law's state of mind, just losing her DAD. I hope she can enjoy our visit too.

Dang! I hope you get at least a taste of vacation this summer. My real vacation is in October when I get to go to Virginia Beach for a week. I always enjoy that.
