So Much Better With The Horns

I guess someone uploaded a new acoustical set of Tim Armstrong at some guitar event. Think it had something to do with Fender.
Anyway, an old video popped up on the side showing Tim hosting some concert in Berkley in 1988 I believe. Just mostly random stuff, but the opening song caught my ear.
Kind of sounded like one of those old rock B-bop songs in a more modern ska way. The bands name is the "Dance Hall Crashers.:" Upon doing further research, was pretty amazed that Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman founded the band. They were already in Operation Ivy at the time and sounds like they more or less gave this band away.
Maybe gave away is the wrong term, more like handed it over because what a great sound they had on their own. Elyse Rogers and Karina Deniké are a female duo that really sets the world a blaze. A force to be recon with for real.
It is so amazing to go back and look at this stuff and learn something new every time. Many people hate how much credit Tim Armstrong gets and many think he is a highly overrated musician, but in this day in age. Have you heard of anyone helping so many along their musical career? I do agree Matt Freeman and others associated with Tim definitely deserves more credit than they get.
I just think Tim hands down is a pioneer of setting so many musicians on the right path, when most only selfishly care about their own path. Do not get me wrong, know it benefited him greatly also, but.... When he says, "Teach them well," you better believe this student of life will always be ready to listen to what that man has to say.

It is said to be one of the few songs wrote for the band by Lint, which is what Tim was called at the time.

@teamfreak16 Indeed, can tell some of the newer punk bands just are not comprehending that and more or less hopping on the band wagon of what they created in the older days.

@crossbones27 - He seems very good at presenting things that matter in his songs, something that modern punk rockers haven't Figured out yet. Keeping it real, the punk way.
