Imagine a day without cell phone

Phones
May 30, 2017 12:04pm CST
I would go crazy without my phone . We talk, text, check our E-mail, surf the Internet, and interact in social networking, all on our phones. Because our phones have become so resourceful. You check your phone a lot, even when it's not ringing or buzzing. It's OK. Lots of other people do. Let me ask you, what would happen, if you forget your phone at home? Would you feel bad, stressed, unsafe and unhappy? People have become prisoners of their phone that's why it's called "CELL phone"

You must be very young. Older people remember life before e-gadgets. Believe it or not. It was worth living.

I completely agree. My parents say the same. Life was great without phones and technology. People used to talk in real instead of being on the phones.

My phone is sometimes at home. No problem. It isn't a smartphone. But it isn't comfortable without phone these days.

The few times I had to go a day without my phone felt like I was outside with no pants on. Like I was missing a limb. It was so nerve-racking!! I thought I could do it as an experiment once to see how long I could go without it and I didn't last long!

It happens at times for me. Once when I forgot taking my phone to office, I became saint in talking -" my day is a bliss" kind of dialogues..but that isn't true! Somehow we are made dependent on smart phones and we have to admit that it lessens our burden in life. So when I leave phone at home I would feel less-entertained and less-lucky for that day.. ;-)

If I left my phone at home, then I'd either be reading a book or daydreaming while commuting.

It is hard but one can get used to it. On our Sabbath and when we are not able to use phone, TV or computer I go without. It is rather peaceful.

I go without my phone a lot. I leave it at home a lot. When I do take it places with me it is to just listen to music on it and for emergencies. I spend a lot of time outside growing up and even now so I am used to not having one or going place outside that don't have service so the phone is useless anyway.

I check my phone a lot, even when it's not buzzing. I am a phone phobia. Even when I leave home I need the phone as I listen to music while travelling.

I think life without smartphone is not simple but not impossible. I can fully avoid my mobile only when enjoying occasion like wedding or any other special occasion with family. I am not addicted to smartphones, sometimes i feel stressfree when i'm away from mobile.

I truly agree. It is nor good or bad to depend on something. Addiction to something is just a way of our mind to make us feel at ease. Addiction causes us to care less about everything and more of ourselves. I know this cause I too am addicted to my phone as well as laptop. Though it make me furious when I don't have them with me but its true that they kill a lot of time which you could use on something more important. So, it depends how much dependent on our gadgets we are... good luck getting out of prison (CELL phone XD) .

Thank you. Cell phones has completely changed the way our world lives. Cell phone is no longer a novelty. Rather, it is a necessity for today’s fast-paced lifestyles. In addition to making calls, cell phones now have the capability to search the web, text-message, play games, take pictures, use GPS, and e-mail. All of these accessibilities in a cell phone have made us very dependent on devices.
