MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Los Angeles center Chris Kaman was deactivated for the Clippers' game against Minnesota on Saturday night because of a sprained left ankle. Kaman, who is averaging 8.2 points and 7.0 rebounds, was injured in practice on Friday. A team spokeswoman said he is listed as day-to-day. The Clippers play at Denver on Sunday. Aaron Williams started in place of Kaman, who missed all but two games in the preseason with a hamstring injury. Kaman's absence means the Clippers are without their second-leading rebounder, bad news for a team that has struggled on the boards recently. They have been outrebounded in two straight games, despite Kaman grabbing a combined 24 boards in losses to Seattle and the Lakers.
