The reason behind cursing, to ease pain

I don't condone screaming foul words. Cursing is both unprofessional and unethical. Honestly I curse myself, especially when something hard hits my thumb. You saw it in a science show how cursing made you more tolerable to pain but it's not everyday you get bruised. So do control that foul tongue.

To add, the clinical term for cursing is called Coprolalia. It came from the words Kopros and Lalein, which literally means "sh*t talk" in Greek.

And when it becomes a habit, it will be harder to control. I worry that one day I will keep on cursing even though I'm uninjured.

@Mamerto32 I doubt that you'll keep doing that despite being uninjured. Just try to refrain from cursing when you can. Maybe you could go with having a maximum of up to ten curses per day this week then lessen it by one every week.

I avoid cursing as much as possible, for believers let me just share to you what I read and found out in the bible
James 3:8-10
"But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so."
