Can You Believe That It Is June?
Once again, another month has just flown by for me. A lot has happened this month though. Every day it seems like there was something else going on to keep me busy and when I’m busy the time just speeds on by.
I am VERY happy to say though, that I have completed TWO major projects that I have been working on for several months now. Yesterday, I mailed the photo album to my brother of all the family photos that I have been collecting for several months now. Eight generations of photos. He should receive the box today, so I’m hoping to hear from him.
I also completed the “go-bags” for my family members, that I have been working on for a few months. Each “go-bag” contains items that would be useful if there is a local disaster or other situation that would cause us to have to leave home for a few days. They are ready to go and stored in the closet now for easy access.
Now, my MAJOR project on which I can continue to concentrate, is clearing out my home-office. My granddaughter is going to have a Yard Sale, so I’m hoping to sell some things there. I’ve been putting small price tags on things I want to get rid of, and putting all the things in boxes, ready to go out the door.
She hasn’t set a date yet for the Yard Sale and I told her yesterday the dates that I would be in North Carolina, so she said she would choose a date when I would be here to participate.
I’ve been stacking the boxes up in one corner of the “office” and I’m pleased with my progress so far, but still have a lot to do.
Busy, busy, busy. It seems I stay that way.

Since I have been retired, I have plenty of time to relax. I like to stay busy though. I really don't know what it's like to just sit around and do nothing. I raised five children and worked at some type of job all my life, so it's just not like me to not be busy doing something.

@Courtlynn It's true. IF a person is used to being busy and working every day, it's difficult to be idle. Even if I watch TV, I'm up during commercials doing something. I load or unload the dishwasher or clean off the kitchen counter, or gather up things to take upstairs when I go.

Yes, I'm anxious to hear from my brother to see what he thinks about the photo album I mailed to him earlier this week. I put a lot of time into it.

@dodo19 I hope he will call me and let me know that he received the album soon. I insured it. But, I would hate to think that it would get lost in the mail. It took me so many hours to put it together.

I'm waiting now to hear from my brother and see what he thinks of the photo album I made for him. I mailed it earlier this week but I don't know if he check his mail at the Post Office every day. Probably not.
He should be very pleased. I put a lot of work into it.

Yes, almost half this year gone already. We just get used to writing 2016 and its 2017 and now it's almost 2018. Crazy!

Each month seems to fly by quickly for me anymore. Each week goes so fast, that I can hardly believe that its Friday today. Well, it was Friday. It's after midnight now. I'm headed for bed. It's been a long day and yet it's over before we know it.
