It’s a Bittersweet June This Year

So anyone who knows me, knows that June is not exactly my favorite month. It hasn’t been my favorite month since 2013. This year it’s bittersweet, which is better than it just being bitter, right? The Bitter - There’s no reason to beat around the bush; my Daddy passed away in June of 2013. He went into cardiac arrest on June 25th and we was taken off life support on June 27th. And this was all just a week or so after Father’s Day. So between the anniversary of his passing and Father’s Day, it was never my favorite month. The Sweet - For the first time in years, I have something to look forward to in the month of June. I am going to WWE Extreme Rules this Sunday with my best friend, and the Total Package Tour (w/ NKOTB) on June 25th (yes, that’s seriously the date) with my two sisters. What were the odds of those two events not only happening in the same month, but in June of all months? Of course I miss my Daddy. I had a few things trigger that earlier; it’s not the first time and won’t be the last. Sometimes counting down to the concert feels weird, what with the days, but I’d like to think my Daddy would rather I count down to a happier event. Believe me when I tell you, he is on my mind every day. I’m gonna wrap this up, but I hope you all have a good June. Take care. Photo Credit: Pixabay.
