Here's another one of those songs on my list of favorite songs that have the word "music" in the title. This is a follow-up to the countdown of songs with "song" in the title. I hope @LoriAMoore recognizes this as the song I serenaded her with as we left the restaurant yesterday. #8: Every Kind of Music But Country - Robbie Fulks Yep, that's Lori: "she liked it loud, she liked it fast, she liked it funky. She liked everything about me 'cept for one thing: she liked every kind of music but country." She's okay, anyway. The opening song on Robbie Fulks' debut album is one that Fulks didn't write. This came, instead, from Tim Carroll (ex-husband of Elizabeth Cook [yeah, that helps you, I know]). It's a fun song, based on that all-too-often answer to the question, "what kind of music do you like?" This one has a happy ending, though: the girl hears it, likes it, "and now she can't remember having told me she liked every kind of music but country." I've never had that problem. Every Kind of Music But Country Written by Tim Carroll Recorded by Robbie Fulks From Country Love Songs, 1996 She told me I was barking up the wrong tree:
Tim Carroll cover performed at City Winery, Chicago, October 2, 2015 (with Don Stiernberg, Todd Phillips, and Aaron Till)
