Little Camera - Big Pix - "Casio" - when you say that, it sort of sounds like some sort of character straight out of a Shakespeare play, doesn't it? Well, it is a neat little Casio (brand) camera. As I struggle to learn how to use the thing (200+ pages in the user manual...) I snapped some pix here and about. Made a collage of three of those snaps and stuck the collage up on top of this discussion. It looks as though using this little camera is going to be fun - once I figure out how to use it. In the collage is a picture of one of "our deer" behind the back yard fence, some trumpet vine flowers still hanging onto their vine high up on the pine tree trunk standing by the trail through the neighborhood, and a look at the desktop cellular telephone that sits on the desk in my workroom. I guess that indicates that this camera can handle whatever picture-making is thrown at it. Yesterday I posted about making a huge panoramic image (9 feet long and 2 feet wide) with this tiny camera. Later today I will spell out the method(s) I use to do such picture-making. If everyone had a camera like this one to carry around and of which to make use, that would be the end of wars and of boredom. Image: Three pix from a little camera - Gus Kilthau

@Ceerios Do they say that about peanut butter? I don't think they would be allowed to make extravagant claims like that here.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - I figured that if they could say such stuff about the effects of peanut butter, it would be OK to say such stuff about nifty, little cameras. -Gus-

@jstory07 - Ms Judy - If you think that those pix look good, you should see the finger that pushed the shutter button on the camera. That finger is downright handsome. I was thinking of letting it get into Hollywood or possibly Broadway. -Gus-

It seems like a capable camera. The pictures are very nice. On another note, I've not heard of a desktop cellphone. It is like a base station with handset that can be used throughout the house?

@DWDavis - Brother Davis - This desktop cell phone is a base station for any ordinary sort of home telephone that you might have around the house. We connected our base to a set of three mobile telephones (of the type that can be connected to an ordinary wired-in phone). If a call comes in, it goes right to our mobile phones through the regular mobile phone base.(or to any ordinary telephone setup) The "ZTE" cell base has built-in telephone message recording for callers to use if we do not pick up on the call. As I recall, it cost $50 (and we own the gadget and can use it anywhere we want to use it... )for the hardware and the monthly charge depends on two things - $10 for a second line (another telephone number) and a minutes charge if we want to add minutes per month to our account (if we have to do so because of calling hours added, if any). The provider is "Consumer Cellular" which is our regular cell phone provider. -Gus-
