Scorching hot days

Yesterday it was a scorching hot day and today is another one I didn't realize how hot it was until I started to feel faint while gardening. I checked the temperature and it was a record 34.5 Celsius or 94.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Brought back memories of that reggae song by Third World, 96 Degrees in the Shade. Found out we were the hottest place in the country. Be careful what you wish for. Hope you are having a great weekend.

I have the impression that Canada is an intense cold place and have never thought it is so hot there.Is it the hottest time of the year?

It's different for different parts of Canada. In the West it is colder than in the East and one province British Columbia is the warmest year round with a temperate climate. However, in the colder regions like where I am the summers are usually the nicest and hottest. It will get hotter as we get more into summer.

It cooled down here after we had a 90º F (32.2º C) day. Today it's only supposed to get up to 80º F (26.6º C).

I know it's going to heat up eventually in Southern California with 100 degree days. That's life for us here.
