I have to give to Cleveland Cavaliers guard J R Smith with his bravado after the team finished their practice session on Saturday.
Smith believes that his team can beat the 1996 Chicago Bulls and the 2017 Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association Finals if his teammates play basketball the way they are able to play.
Okay so Smith is not going to admit the best of seven series which Golden State leads 1-0 will win the series via a sweep based on Thursday's 113-91 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland California.
Maybe the blowout loss will wake up the Cavaliers to realize that the Warriors want to prove to them that Kevin Durant is the missing piece of the puzzle in the 2016 NBA Finals when Cleveland came from a 3-1 deficit to win the next three games to claim their first NBA Championship.

I'm sure they can beat the Warriors, as I don't see them going 16-0 in the postseason. But just one game.

Me neither because a sweep by the Warriors would harm the NBA in 2017-18.

Remember the Cavs were down 3-1 last season and won. You never know about the intangibles like a suspension (always a chance with Green), injury (Curry and Durant are injuries waiting to happen) or another Durant choke job.

@JohnRoberts It could happen that the Cavaliers will defend their NBA title this year if the Warriors take them for granted.

I would not write off the Cavs just yet.
