So far everything has gone according to plan..

My weekend has been fairly perfect thus far.. Last night I brought my 14 year old downtown so he could rehearse for his awards show tomorrow.. while he did that my younger 2 and I wandered around the food festival downtown to check it out. Today I went grocery shopping, then we went back downtown as the 14 year old has more rehearsing, and yet again the younger 2 and I walked around the food festival some more. The youngest was supposed to have a baseball game tonight, but he opted to skip it so we could enjoy the evening together as a family (hubby's been working all weekend, and from 6-9pm tonight was the only free time he had!) So hubby met us down there and brought our daughter. We spent a few more hours wandering and eating.. It was quite busy down there, most of the lines were terribly long.. but we got to try a lot of food, some things we'd never think to try like maple bacon donuts! There were also some games and bounce houses to keep the kids busy.. In the pic you see my youngest 2 boys trying a smoked chicken wing, while wearing sunglasses they won from a game. They also got some stuffed animals and other little prizes, and we took home a ton of free samples of crackers, almonds.. all sorts of stuff. Tomorrow we'll be downtown yet again for the awards show.. we're going to pick up my son's girlfriend and take her to dinner (without my son because he'll be at rehearsals) then go to the awards show. I'm so excited to see it! Fingers crossed that he comes home with an award tomorrow!
