As we prepare to return to the grind tomorrow (and I wait for the side effects of this new asthma inhaler to wear off) I'll give you another one of my favorite songs from my list of favorite "music songs," or songs that have the word music in the title. Here's the next one....sort of a follow-up to yesterday. #6: Hear That Music - Poco Yesterday was Loggins & Messina. Well, here we have Jim Messina making another appearance, this time as a member of Poco. Actually, he wasn't in the band by the time the album that this was on came out. (They changed band members quite a bit back then!) But this isn't a Jim Messina song; rather, it was written by Timothy Schmit, who also sang lead. It's much like many of the Poco songs: good-time, feel-fine country-rock at its absolute best. I'm sure Tim made more money in nine minutes while a member of the Eagles than he did in nine years in Poco. But dang, he made much better music. Hear That Music Written by Timothy B. This is getting incestuous among bands.
