#3 in my Favorite Videos that aren't "Thriller" series belongs to one near and dear to my heart: "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Directed by Godley and Creme, "Two Tribes" is an amusing look at the Cold War. Actors resembling then-President Ronald Reagan and then-Soviet Union leader Konstantin Chernenko duke it out in a cock fighting ring, with world leaders in attendance. Money changes hands. The members of Frankie Goes to Hollywood are members of the audience, with vocalist Holly Johnson singing from within the crowd. I've always found this video quite amusing, and not just because I love Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Remember, this was the 1980's, when many were of the mindset that war with the Soviet Union was inevitable. So why not have the leaders fight it out instead?
