Animal Crackers In My Soup

Do you remember this song from years ago. It was sung by Shirley Temple in one of her movies. I thought it was an adorable song but I never understood putting animal crackers in your soup. Every time I have some animal crackers as a snack the song starts running through my mind. I recently bought myself some animal crackers o have for a snack. After not having them for years I was pleasantly surprised at how good they tasted. Besides that they are low in sugar which is great for someone who has diabetes. Have you tried animal crackers recently? What do you think? Do they taste as good as when you were a kid?
