How many of you have lost something and it was returned to you and you were surprised that it was?

The other day when I took a picture of the drummer guy I had my little purse open and put my sunglasses just laying in it and because someone was in my way so I could not get a clear shot of him I moved. When I went to look for the sunglasses they were gone. I looked around me and saw the lady that just went and stood in my way one of her sons I saw pick up something that was on the ground and sure enough it was my sunglasses. Before I saw him I asked the other son and he did not see something. That was true. If the other one had manners he might have asked if they were mine, but, he kept them. I was with someone once and she forgot her backpack and somebody turned it in.

Yes, I have once I went grocery shopping and as I put the groceries in the car I laid my wallet on top of my car and forgot it. Someone saw this wallet fall off my car (under an underpass) and he actually stopped and retrieved my wallet And then he contacted a phone number of a friend he found in my wallet and they called me and I was able to meet him and get my wallet.. I was very surprised and grateful!

@Hannihar Yes, that actually happened. I was very lucky that he was an honest person.

@minx267 Wow, minx. You were very very lucky. I have seen in movies where people forgot they put things on top of the car.

You dont meet good people all the time... Maybe it's time for you to get yourself a new pair of sunglasses? As for me, I dropped my phone (one of the new Samsung ones) at my son's school and someone handed it in to the office... I was lucky, I would be sad to loose my phone but I will be more sad to loose all the numbers/pictures in there...

@atoz1to10 TT, I understand about the phone. So many memories would have been lost. You were very lucky. I got two new pairs and love them. I will get another one like the ones I had that are very cheap. I wasn't so mad that I lost them because they were not expensive, but, that I could not remember where got those so had to check other places and the store I thought they would have them was on open when passed and really needed them. Glad I got them where I did. I got two new cool cases for them and the ones I wore I could fit on over my glasses.

@atoz1to10 Thanks TT. I should have put them away or closed my little purse up. I take responsibility for that, but, not taking my sunglasses and keeping them and not asking who they belong to.

@allknowing Why did he wait two years before he gave it back? Do you think he was thinking of keeping it or selling it and he decided the right thing to do was give it back to you.

@Hannihar I can't think of anything I've lost and got back but I do agree with you that that boy should have asked as he knew for sure it wasn't his.

Some people are like that, as if they cannot buy their own, they should teach the children with good manners.

@ilocosboy You are so right. I see so many people in this country that it is hard for them to say thank you or sorry. When I am on my scooter and people are coming and I let them pass no thank you at all. Sometimes I say your welcome and they still ignore me. I am so surprised when someone says or waves thank you. I could have gone through before them, but, I waited. People are unbelieveable, but, then there are some really nice ones too.
