What's your greatest enemy in the morning.

Is it your alarm clock? Or the relationship you have with your bed making it difficult for you to wake up? Is it something else? Or it may also happen that you have no enemy. Mine is my alarm constantly reminding me that it is time to wake up now. I am finding it a bit difficult to wake up those days because the temperature is dropping over here and I am often greeted by the rain in the morning. We will be in winter over here soon. My bed keeps telling me to sleep for some more time. How i miss waking up in the morning to a sunny weather and hearing the chirping of birds. Anyway have a good day/good night everyone

When it is cold or raining I am tempted to remain in bed.

That's true. The warmth of the bed on a cold day is so inviting

@Kandae11 - I think you could afford to remain in bed. But people like me and @Nawsheen who are required to attend their respective offices, do not have much option on working days, even if weather is very pleasant in the morning.

@dpk262006 you mean if the weather is so nice that you would want to spend a day at the beach rather than going to work

I am an early riser and do not need an alarm clock. I quite look forward to the day and so I must admit I do not have any enemies.

Now that's something very positive to hear. You are right. Each day brings a new opportunity. At what time do you usually wake up

I think I am very fortunate because I don't have a problem waking up and I don't really have to force myself to wake up in the morning. I prefer waking up early though and enjoy nature. I'm not a night owl so waking up is early is never a problem with me.

That's a very good thing because it is very challenging for many people to wake up early in the morning. And on top of that you get to enjoy the beauty of the morning

@Nawsheen When I go to bed I look at the time. I figure out how many hours I need to sleep to be up for what I need to do, which is usually the pool or church on Sunday. I tell myself I need to be up in X number of hours and I always am.

I don't have any enemy at all. I love my alarm because it gives me a chance to wake up early and start my day with beautiful early morning. I never snooze it in morning.

@Nawsheen thanks dear. I understand your situation, I am at home all the time and can have rest any time I want but you have to go to office and you know that once you left the bed you are going to get rest in night only, so being a bit lazy is natural. My husband do the same.

It seems I do not have an issue getting up because once I am awake, my mind races like crazy! It is sort of a curse because sometimes I would like to sleep longer but cannot. I know how the winter can make you warm and cozy in bed though. I hope you will be better to get up soon as your body adjusts to the cooler weather.

Your mind seems to be overworking and it seems there are plenty of ideas and thoughts racing in there. On one hand it is good as you have a creative mind but on the other hand as you say it prevents you from sleeping. I am sure that as I get used to the winter things will be better

As I am a late night worker, I like to get up late. Not only the alarm clock, but also the calling bell at home is my morning sleep destroyer. Sometimes the hot environment also disturbs me. Being in a roadside flat, the honking of the cars also make me awake. That apart there are people who come to visit us during morning walk.Out of 6 working days in a week, almost in 3 days my sleep is disturbed.

Funny thing for me is if I have all the time to sleep (day off, weekend) I wake up before my alarm clock. And if I have to get up early, my body won't seem to cooperate.

I love the cold weather, it must be and feels beautiful there, I feel envy haha The most thing about wake up for me it's when someone says my name, when they call me to wake up, it just makes me angry. I always wake up early, and I don't care the alarms, I mean I don't hate them. So, people calling me to wake up it's the worst for me
